If you have a riding mower and find yourself perched
precariously on the edge of your seat when mowing
uneven ground, then a HILLSAFE SEAT is for you. It will
give you increased comfort, safety, and wheel traction.
Even in Kansas you may find yourself mowing close to
roadside ditches or manmade landscaping. The HILLSAFE
SEAT solves many problem for mowing on uneven terrain.
It has no complicated hydraulic leveling systems or
mechanical mechanisms. In fact there aren’t any
moving parts. The secret of the seat is its shape. You
simply move sideways in the seat and its unique design
does the rest. Read the following explanation for
complete details.

RIDER A
ON A HILLSAFE SEAT HAS THREE BIG ADVANTAGES OVER RIDER B
ON THE TYPICAL SEAT OF AN OUTDOOR MOWER
SAFETY: Rider A’s
center of gravity is over point A which is equidistant
between the wheels and in no way contributes toward
overturning. Rider B’s
center of gravity is over point B and any further shift
toward the outside of the left wheel greatly increases
his danger of overturning. The center of gravity of the
mower is low (over point C) and its effect is minimal.
TRACTION: Rider A’s
center of gravity falls over point A and his weight
will be equally divided between the wheels. He will
have the same traction on slopes that he does on level
ground. Rider B’s weight
is practically all on the left wheel causing the right
wheel to lose traction. Most mowers are driven through
a differential and forward motion will stop under these
conditions.
COMFORT: Rider A
sits level and is comfortable. Rider B
is sliding in his seat, has contorted
backbone, and if not scared, he should be.
